Bio:
Nancy Greenleese reports from Rome, Italy where all roads seem to lead to an environmental story. The city has some of the world’s cleanest water yet Romans slurp bottled water in record quantities. Romans recycle their homes, preferring to live in medieval buildings yet refuse to buy vintage clothes. These contradictions keep Nancy busy reporting for "The Environment Report" and other radio programs in the U.S., Europe and Canada. Before moving to Rome, she reported and anchored for KUNC in chilly Colorado. She mastered how to keep her tape recorder from freezing while covering snowboarders in the half-pipe. For five years, she reported and anchored at KPBS in San Diego. In 2001, a local paper named her the "Best NPR Rising Star." Nancy graduated from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and received a bachelor of arts from the University of Pennsylvania.
